A boutique line of Cool Things From Cool Places. Products consisting of at least one element of; hand made, organic or recycled material or symbolic of a cultures' heritage. A company dedicated to not look like any other - combined with an element of culture, bravery and imperfection.

For everything the company wants - the company must give the same.

What Does WaWa Mean? We get asked all the time. WaWa (actually spelled Guagua, but changed for us Gringos) is a slang word for "baby" used in the Quichua language in Ecuador, and other Andean countries. We have also heard it means "bus" too! But, that's not our version.

You will also see some products or comments referring to "Yan Yan." This to is also a Quichua slang meaning "sister."

WaWa Exports didn't start as a company, it's evolved into a passion over time. It happened by accident after bringing some Cool Things From Cool Places back from Ecuador for my daughter (one of the WaWa Super Models). My daughters' friends saw her with a poncho and wanted one. I had six more ponchos sent up, then those six turned into twelve of their friends wanting one, and so on and so on.

After enough time thinking about the possibility, WaWa was turned it into a reality. The decision really happened because of the pure quality and originality of the products brought to you - not because we are good business people.. With our core beliefs understood and written, also known as a mission statement (see above) we formally made WaWa Exports a company.

Couple things to add; since this is "fun" we don't really call it work, and the other, we like to boast about how many names and numbers of taxi drivers (which is really important in third world countries) that we have in Cool Places when we are buying Cool Things... Enjoy, protect, preserve, conserve and be friendly!
